Mujeres Transformando (Transforming Women Association) works in El Salvador to support the organisation of women, and in particular maquila workers. For a number of years they have also been working with homebased embroidery workers.

International Labour Organisation
The International Labour Organization is the UN specialized agency which seeks the promotion of social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights. It was founded in 1919 and is the only surviving major creation of the Treaty of Versailles which brought the League of Nations into being and it became the first specialized agency of the UN in 1946.
Dastkar (India)
A society for crafts and craftspeople Dastkar is a registered society that aims at improving the economic status of craftspeople, thereby promoting the survival of traditional crafts. It was founded in 1981 by six women, who had worked in the craft and development sector including Laila Tyabji, who is the current Chairperson.

Aid to Artisans
Their goal is simple: a world community of entrepreneur-craftspeople who have the ability to improve their own lives, the lives of their families, the communities in which they make their homes, and their livelihoods. In its thirty years Aid to Artisans (ATA) has changed the lives of thousands of artisans through its “Market Link” programs of product design, production and business skills.
Traidcraft
Traidcraft, based in the UK, was one of the first fair trade organisations to be set up. It has two wings: one dealing mainly with marketing fair trade products; and the second campaigning and lobbying on policy issues.
Fair Trade Foundation UK
The Foundation is the UK member of Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International (FLO), which unites 20 national initiatives across Europe, Japan, North America, Mexico and Australia/New Zealand.
Fair Trade Foundation
This organisation is responsible for the fair trade label and works closely with the FLO in building fair trade networks around the world.
